The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom the emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand wrapped in awe, is as good as dead —his eyes are closed. The insight into the mystery of life, coupled though it be with fear, has also given rise to religion. To know what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty, which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their most primitive forms—this knowledge, this feeling is at the center of true religiousness.

We finally got the Brother built up and man, is it a looker or what?! As a sucker for almost anything with a fade, I absolutely love how it looks.

With only a couple of quick commutes on it to make sure everything is 100%, we are beyond stoked to put this thing through the paces. It rides beautifully on the terrible streets of Manhattan so we are confident it will handle anything we can throw at it with ease.

Just 4 days until blast off!

Mmmmmmmmmm :)

* are mean to their mothers
* are against feminism
* only want you for your body
* will/are leading you on
* think you owe them something
* think they are entitled to your body

The Photograph That Has Been Making Cars Look Stupid For 20 Years

Traffic getting you down? Smog in the air?
This photograph taken in 1991 shows how much road space 72 people would need if they used bicycles vs. cars vs. a bus.
This photograph was commissioned by the planning department of the City of Münster, Germany. According to its website, Münster is the “most liveable city world-wide,” and I see no reason why that can’t be true.

Liv Beyond - Shannon Galpin as Liv Ambassador

"We are proud to announce that Shannon Galpin, the Producer of our film Afghan Cycles, is now an ambassador for Liv, a cycling brand fully dedicated to women. In addition to the ongoing support that Liv has provided to the Afghan cyclists, and to Mountain2Mountain, they will also join the Afghan Cycles film project as a Presenting Sponsor. Check out a rad short video below on this relationship.

National Geographic Adventurer of the Year and Afghan Cycles Producer, Shannon Galpin, started her nonprofit Mountain2Mountain to empower women and girls in conflict zones and has been working in Afghanistan for the past 7 years. The first woman to mountain bike in Afghanistan in 2009, Galpin used cycling to challenge gender barriers and eventually discovered the women’s Afghan cycling team in 2012. Liv, a cycling brand fully dedicated to women, heard about the work that Galpin was doing with the women cyclists and immediately began to support the team with bikes and equipment.

As a global ambassador for Liv, Galpin shares more about the work she is doing in Afghanistan and how Liv has supported the team in this short video.

This Saturday, August 30th, we will pedal a revolution! Bikers, cyclists, commuters, and striders will take to their wheels in solidarity with the Afghan women who dare to ride, and in remembrance of the women that dared to ride before and in doing so, paved the way for independent mobility and freedom for women around the world. Create your own ride and join us.”

Super awesome video about women biking in Afghanistan!! Watch it!!
